The aftermarket can expect to see improvements coming to the Automotive Aftermarket Industry
Association’s (AAIA) data standards in 2012, while legacy make/model tables reach the end of their useful life. At
the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas in November, AAIA Vice President of Technology
Standards Scott Luckett provided an overview of the coming changes during one of the conference sessions. According
to Luckett, in addition to the ongoing project to define product-specific performance and physical attributes, AAIA
will also accelerate the process by which new vehicles are added to the ACES catalog standard.
